Scholarship Details

In order to be eligible for the scholarship, the studen MUST be on a DeMatha ice hockey team.

Incoming students are required to submit a completed application, along with a 500 word essay, for consideration of a scholarship. The deadline to submit the application via mail, email or fax must be received by August 10, 2024.

The Villella family will review each application and make their selection.  DeMatha will then be informed of the selection(s) and they will notify the awardee.

The amount of the scholarship is $16,000.00. This is received $4,000.00 per year, as long as the student remains on the ice hockey team.

The Villella and Berganski family hope that each scholarship awardee will continue to;

    Perform at a high level both in the classroom and on the ice,

    appreciate the opportunity that has been given to him and

    succeed in his quest to become a Gentleman and Scholar.
